 | Las Vegas "Adult" Advertising Reviews | 1 - 10 of 49 | | Some people might not be bothered but besides the magazine stands with magazines featuring sex for sale, it was the 'people' along the pavement that really got on my nerves. My husband who had already visited Las Vegas a couple of months before had told me of them, but seeing them for myself was a different matter. These 'people' stand in lines, whole groups of them with cards featuring the 'people' who were plying their trade. But not satisfied with just standing there they literally jump in front of you and flash the cards in front of your face. In some cases you cant even get passed them but come to an abrupt stop. This totally p****d me off. So much so that it completely got on my nerves, I simply couldnt ignore them like most people were doing, but physically pushed one out of my way and told them they were nothing more than pimps. Dont think they liked it but then neither did I. Leave a Comment

As you walk up and down The Strip at dusk or during the evening you see groups of people standing on the sidewalk slappng packs of cards against their hands. However these cards don't have anything to do with Poker or Pontoon but rather are advertising various adult services, escorts etc.. To avoid being given one of the cards just walk straight past and don't show any signs of interest - quite hard when you first hear the 'slap, slap. slapping' noise and wonder what it is. They generally seem to be offered just to men and if you are walking past as a couple or in a family group they may not bother to offer you one. Although if a man in your group falls behind or goes ahead this may not be the case! Mind you on the crowded sidewalks of Las Vegas there's also the matter of simply trying to avoid and not bump into the people giving out the cards themsleves never mind just avoiding the cards! It is worth being aware of this practice in order to avoid any upset or offence that receiving a card may cause. Leave a Comment

If you hear clapping or the sound of someone slapping a stack of papers against their hand, DON'T look at them, or you will find your hands being crammed full of pornographic ads for escort services and strip clubs! If you ignore them, they will not bother you, but if you acknowlegde them whatsoever, expect a handful of smut! Many Las Vegans have fought to have this type of solicitation banned, but to no avail thus far... Leave a Comment

There are lots of people (men and women) who stand all along the strip handing out cards and papers advertising strippers etc. They are very forward, in that it doesn't matter if you are a family group, they will still push these cards into the males hand. They make a noise by rattling the papers and therefore get your attention. This happens at all times of day. It's very distasteful Leave a Comment

There are any number of people lining the street handing out brochures for escorts, adult shows and anything else they can sell you. Its an inconvenience but is easily avoided. Try a technique I like to call "walking like a New Yorker": walk fast (if you can) and look straight ahead. Most of these people won't bother you. They generally accost the people who pause and look over at them. If they still try to hand you something, just say "no thanks" and keep walking. They don't seem to bother those who appear totally disinterested. Leave a Comment

Don't be lured in to the "free" topless titty joints like Glitter Gulch on Fremont street. The basically pour you two $7 beers when you walk in the door whether you want them or not. I guess if you're REALLY thirsty and are REALLY in need of peeking at some of Las Vegas' finest third-string, day-shift saggy bodies, then by all means knock your socks off... Leave a Comment

snappers are people you try to hand you ads for escort services and strip clubs. they snap their advertising card to get your attention. these people are not dangerous but highly annoying. they line both sides of the strip from mandalay bay to the stratosphere. some can be aggressive. the best way to avoid them is not to make eye contact and move away from them when walking down the strip. the strip also has a number of beggars and street hustlers. again don't make eye contact and refuse to talk to them.

There for a while Vegas really seemed to clean this up. They were trying to get more families to the area and it seemed you did not see very much of the risqué advertisements. Yet, I guess the casinos are trying to convey to the younger crowds now, the smut has returned. You will see nothing but risqué advertisement everywhere from billboards, buses, taxi cars, and the hundreds of adult newspaper stand that anyone can have access too. Let us not forget, the people who are located all along the strip trying to hand out the adult cards. Everyone has a right not to take one and if you do, do not throw it on the ground. Throw it away in the trash. So if you have small kids, you may not want to bring them on the strip. Leave a Comment

Maybe it's me, but I'm wondering WHY anyone would bring their adolescent child to Vegas..... Sex is everywhere. Leave a Comment

One of the first things you will notice about Las Vegas is not the cool hotels or pretty neon lights but those darn porn pamphlet pushers. You hear the sound of the guy/girl slapping a stack of papers in their hand and then the paper is held out for you to take. One thing I did notice is that if it was just me and the my female friends we didn't really them bothering us ... but if we were walking with a group that had men, there was slapping-a-plenty. I guess they figure most the female population is not interested. Leave a Comment
