 | Las Vegas Las Vegas Reviews | 1 - 10 of 24 | | The entire town is one big money pit, so get ready to blow every penny you've got. I had a free place to stay, and I won at slots, but I STILL came home broke.
This is Vegas, the world's largest Tourist Trap, that's its sole raison d'etre.
Hey, if it's not your cup of tea, go to Lake Mead or Redrock Canyon. Leave a Comment

All of Las Vegas is a tourist trap, but is that necessarily a bad thing? I personally could never see that being a tourist should have such a negative connotation. Being a tourist means that you are trying to see the sights, learning the history, and enjoying the experiences the place you are visiting has to offer.
Since gambling is a major part of the "trap" part of Las Vegas, consider gambling money the same as the money you set aside to see the sights or eat out anywhere you go. Don't gamble more than you can afford to lose because you will probably lose. (Me, I usually stick to nickle video poker; the $$ lasts a lot longer).

There is only one Tourist Trap in Las Vegas. It is located in the center of the city and radiates for 50 miles on all sides. Say goodbye to your money before you go in, and you'll have a much better time.
Be comfortable with the fact that you will lose money. If you win money, consider yourself lucky, jump up and down, brag to your friends, but then stop gambling. Leave a Comment

Hello! The whole city is a tourist trap! But if you don't gamble (or even if you do) you can still have lots of fun for little money if you take the place in small doses and vow to not let it get to you! Leave a Comment

Everything in Vegas is a tourist trap. Las Vegas was created as a tourist trap. Just go there expecting that and you'll have a great time. Don't expect culture and sophistication, you will just be disappointed. Leave a Comment

Seriously, this whole place is a trap. I'm not complaining, I just think we all need to be adults and admit it. Most of the fun of Vegas is thinking that *you* are gonna be the one to beat the system, and avoid the trap. Ha! Leave a Comment

No offence! We stayed one night on our trip. It was worth one night, but no more. There are other things to see, so we moved on. Leave a Comment

Isn't this town evil (in the best way) enough with the gambling? Since you are in Las Vegas, we know you have little or no self control, you are a sucker. Be prepared to hand over what little money you have left, and if you are weak enough to have brought a credit card, well, bankruptcy isn't as much of a stigma these days. Again, not that I'm complaining, we're all sinners, it's just nice to be able to afford the buffet at Mandalay bay. Leave a Comment

Guess what.........it's all a tourist trap...hahahahahahaha. Why do you think they keep building 15,000 room hotels and they're always full.... But if you're not a sucker you can have a really really good time. If you don't want to lose money, don't gamble.
Please see my itinerary tip, for what you should do instead of gambling. In short, party, have fun, revel with the rest of the freaks and enjoy!
