Las Vegas Buffets
There are 60 buffets currently operating in Las Vegas — more than in any other location worldwide.
Each day, the buffet at the Las Vegas Bellagio Hotel serves 1,200 pounds of shrimp, 800 pounds of crab legs, and 800 to 1,000 pounds of prime rib. The food bill at the Bellagio buffet tops more than $1 million per month.
The largest buffet in Vegas can be found at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino. Fit for a kingly appetite, the Roundtable Buffet serves 800 to 900 diners per hour and between 3,000 to 4,000 people during breakfast alone.
The most expensive Vegas buffet is the Sterling Brunch at Bally's Hotel. The menu includes such sumptuous treats as caviar, lobster, and rack of lamb. This all-you-can-eat buffet averages about $72 per person, including cocktails, tax and tip.

Flamingo Road, Between Paradise and Las Vegas Blvd is home to what is becoming restaurant row. In this Area you can find:
North of Paradise- Roys of Hawaii, Bucca de Beppo, Mortons of Chicago and Ghandi's Indian food.
South of Paradise- Bahama Breeze, Hamada of Japan, Cozymels Mexican food, Macormick and Schmick Seafood, and Lawrys Prime Rib.
There is also a Gorden Birsch Brew Pub.

The contrast between the Petrossian Paris, obviously a caviar bar and Cafe Bellagio just off the conservatory is literally night and day. You'll find long lines at the cafe for standard grub -- while at Petrossian you can have a non-caviar snack and drink and watch the world go by with a view of the lobby action and the Chihuly glass ceiling. Although not all are my favorite restaurants, they are nevertheless the best deals in Vegas (hurry because corporate America is slowly eliminating all these great deals as incentives to gamblers and preferring to pander to locals to cash their paychecks and drop the kids off at Funland or the arcade- sorry for the commentary...)Here they are, courtesy of Vegas Insider (note: i had to spread them out into the other categories- cont'd below):

$1.50 microbeer. Again @ Ellis Island. They make their own.... They have a functioning brew pub, though they provide nowhere nice to sit down and enjoy it (E.I. is a smoky nasty old place). All the beers are very good (even their homemade root beer), and at $1.50 for a pint of microbrew, it's by far the best swill for yer buck in town.
Becks Beer @ Casino Royale - 24 Hours - $1
Center Strip at the bar in the Casino Royale any hour of the day or night, order up an ice-cold bottle of Beck's. 3419 S. LV Blvd.
Superbuffet @ Gold Coast - Daily - $4.45-$8.95/$9.95
The Gold Coast's Ports O' Call might be the city's best all-around buffet. 4000 W. Flamingo (near the Rio)

Vegas boasts about the variety of buffet and excellent dining with each hotel competing with another not to mention the many different local restaurants. Still, only in Vegas can you get a 2.99 breakfast with steak and eggs for the early gamblers or the all-you-can-eat surf n turf for 4.99.

BELLAGIO - you'd be very happy here because the food is just excellent! @ pricey 23.00
MGM- @ 30.00 pre 10 am and 40.00 after on Sundays. Champayne brunch complete with lamb, oysters, filet mignon, and the town's best blintzes
REGENT - @ 13.95 roasted duck, smoke salmon and lobster. Mon-Wed is ethnic - serving Hawaiian and Italian. Located upstairs at Market Buffet.

Restaurants are abundant in Vegas, especially buffets. i like the German restaurant in the Excalibur for a good sit down meal.

There are so many good cheap restrunts. A few of my favorites were the $2.99 steak dinner after 10:30pm at Benion's Horse Shoe Club in downtown Vegas on Freemont street. Most Casino's have buffet's. No problem finding good cheap food for every taste.

All of the casinos have several places to eat. I recommend at least one buffet so you can say you had one. The buffets are famous for being cheap. We ate at several ALL YOU CAN EAT buffets for $3.95 and less. Plus, most hotels give free tickets for buffets(they want you to spend your money gambling!) The hamburger deal is at Wild Wild West coffee shop, an eight-ounce cooked-to-order burger plus for $1.99.
Happy Hour @ McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant (LV Blvd & Tropicana) (702) 836-9000 - Mon.-Fri. - $1.95-$11.95 one from 3:30 to 6:30 and the other from 9:30 to 11 Monday through Friday. appetizers at $1.95 apiece, or a 20-ounce Maine lobster tail for $11.95. Located at the corner of E. Flamingo and Paradise.
