 | Paris Chez Clement Reviews | 1 - 10 of 20 | | The food was great, the atmosphere nice, after we changed, as they sit us at the entrance, close to the door, and every minute someone opened the door, and it was freezing.... lol.. Also it shock me, as the tables and sits where more appropriate for a coffee and relax than sitting for a dinner. (I am getting old, and I do better digestions sitting properly hehehe), but I would recommend it. Stace took the formule of Ribs (Rotisserie) that included desert for 16 Euros, and I took a faux filet, including wine, all was around 50 Euros for the two of us. The "Chez Clement" in the picture is the one near Place St. Michel. The copper pots, as well as seasonal decorations are "signature" for this chain.
They do a "rotisserie" which is an interesting take on US barbeque. The "set" menu as of this writing is about 28 euro. There is also a children's menu for the small "gastronome". Leave a Comment

It's a restaurant, somewhere near of Boulevard Montparnasse, not far from the tower. Here I celebrated my birthday with my friends. Nice place for dinner. I can say price for the celebrating dinner and it was EUR 30 per person. I saw all the tips/reviews on Chez Clement and could not resist adding my lowly 2-cents worth..... I forgot that in late Oct. 2001 I ate here (the one on Boulevard Montparnasse - the one on Place St. Michel purportedly is better - at least better looking, but how can a chain of places that serve the same menu be that different from one to the other?) Reason I forgot is because it was really imho no big deal. Not to say it was bad or even a tourist trap, but I found the food to be strictly mediocre. Not bad though for a Paris "non-event" type dinner, and on the plus side it is "affordable" (for Paris) with prix fixe around 28 Euros ($37.48 at 12/04 exchange rate). Back when I ate there at xchange rate of ~ $0.88 / Euro, it only cost me about 20 bucks. Summary: not bad, average, good for a quick "in&out" dinner when dinner that night is just something to get out of the way (though 40 bucks can be more wisely spent on dinner somewhere else).
They specialize in what they call their "Rotisserie Menu" which is kind of like mild barbecued meats. I had "Beef" rotisserie : Piece of beef, pork spare ribs with honey and spices, crispy chicken. The honey sauce was very mild and can best be described as "so-so." Some people actually recommend this place (it's a chain of about 12 restaurants all over Paris) so maybe if you order something different I hope you might like it. Ambience was not bad (though imho not "authentique"), a few Parisians, but mostly there were lots of tourists. Here's the menu: Chez Clement rotisserie Menu Leave a Comment

One of the few french retaurants that serves big portions. And it also have a special kids menu. The decoration is very much french, you can also see decoration with spoons and forks, something really cute. I`ve seen two branches of this place,,one is at Maillot and the other is at the Champs Elysees.
I orderd the chicken with mashed potatos,it was really good. If you're not so picky and want a typical French style meal, head to Chez Clement. There are quite a few branches around Paris. I chose the convenient St. Michel branch. It's popular with both locals and tourists alike. The restaurant offers a prix fixe meals. There are different type of prix fixe menus to choose from. Decor is sort of country French. There are differently decorated rooms and tables for large parties. It gets crowded sometimes.
The chicken rotisserie dish is good. It comes with a salad and mashed potatoes. Didn't try them but mussels are quite popular here. This is the best restaurant we tried during our week-end in Paris. In comparison to others, the prices were reasonnable (portions are big!) and the food was delicious. We ate outside with view on the "Arc de Triomphe" on the Champs-Elysees but it was also very nice inside (a very original decoration with spoons !). As it's a chain, you can find "Chez Clement" restaurants everywhere in the city (more info on the website) but I don't know if the quality is the same everywhere.
I had crepes filled with ham and cheese + artichokes + glass of cider + a piece of blueberry tart as a dessert. Leave a Comment

The food was decent enough, but the service is what made it memorable. The friendly waiting staff were very attentive and helpful. The restaurant was warm and welcoming and the seats were comfortable.
I had duck, which was served with a kind of sweet potato mash. Chez Clément - Opéra A great restaurant, not too expensive, with a beautiful decoration and in a very central location - near the Opera, just opposite the Café de la Paix. This restaurant has a unique atmosphere, due to its very typical decoration. You may check some pictures on its website (http://www.chezclement.com/).
La grande rôtisserie For 89F you'll get beef, pork ribs and chicken with mashed potatoes and a mixed salad. For dessert, I recommend the crumble chaud aux pommes cannelle de Miss Marple, a delicious apple and cinnamon crumble. It's really worth it!
